Meet Jaime

Hi there! I’m Jaime and welcome to Sea. Sand. &. Jaime. A place where I share my life, my style, and my words. Thank you so much for stopping by!

Honestly, I’m just a girl trying to find new ways to wear the clothes hanging in my closet. I started this blog in 2015 after being told by several of my friends and coworkers that I needed to start a blog to share my shopping and fashion insights. At the time, I was teaching high school and had made it a goal never to wear the same thing the same way to school, which, in turn, made my students and coworkers think I had a Mary Poppins carpetbag of a closet (which I don’t). I simply styled myself with the same pieces in different ways to achieve different looks.

The first version of my blog was called Teacher Chic and was geared toward school-appropriate attire. I broadened my scope a year later when I found myself in the corporate world of PR. My daily attire moved from comfortable flats and sweater sets to heals and suits. Now, I work in real estate and my uniform is blend of professional dresses and suits. Yet, through each of these career changes, I’ve learned to adapt and wear the appropriate attire while staying true to my style aesthetic. My hope is that by sharing my wardrobe choices and makeup finds, I’ll inspire others to try new things and discover their own personal style that makes them feel beautiful and confident.

More about me:

I’ve always lived in Southern California: I’ve lived in LA, OC, Palm Springs, and now San Diego. And of all the places in Southern California, San Diego is by far my favorite place to live. It has the amazing weather of LA and OC with the chill vibe of Palm Springs wrapped up into one perfect paradise of a location.

I’m married to the man of my dreams who has shown me that true love can exist in this trying world. I have a 10 year-old daughter who is the light of my life and a new golden puppy who is seriously the cutest, sweetest thing ever — when she is not chewing on my shoes, sweaters, jeans, socks, rugs, phone, etc.

I created this blog to connect with others and to show that style is not just about the brand you are flashing. Style is an expression of art. This blog is a reflection of the art inside of me.

Thanks again for stopping by; hope you find something that inspires you!
